Recommendations to prevent athlete's foot
Foot & ankle specialists
There are predisposing factors that facilitate the development and growth of fungal colonies on the feet, such as keeping the feet in hot and humid conditions. To prevent infections you can follow our #MICOF tips:
Maintain good personal hygiene and dry your feet well after washing, especially between the toes.
Wear breathable socks and wide shoes made of natural materials to facilitate perspiration. Change your shoes frequently, especially in summer.
In public areas (showers, swimming pools, changing rooms...) avoid going barefoot, since one of the main characteristics of fungi is that they are highly contagious and easily transmitted between people.
Do not share objects such as towels, socks or shoes with other people and wash them regularly.
